NEW! Pennsylvania Pairs (PA Pairs)
An exciting new initiative for Cruise into Kindergarten, PA Pairs, will produce lists of high quality fiction matched with related nonfiction for children ages four to eight. Each title will have discussion questions (Talking About the Book) & activities (Extending the Book) for parent and child to explore together. The content will be formatted to labels that you can place inside the books. This initiative is a work in progress. The first list and label sets are available below with more to follow!
5 sets of labels for the 20 fiction titles on this list are also available for download. The content will print four to a page just the way they are designed with Avery Label #5168. The size is 3 1/2" x 5."

This list from Supercharged Storytimes has over 30 children’s book titles and brief descriptions from library staff who have used (and enjoyed!) them in their storytimes. Many of these books emphasize representation of diverse communities or experiences for children.
The ALA-Children’s Book Council (CBC) Joint Committee, with cooperation from the ALSC’s Quicklists Consulting Committee, has created this bibliography to provide guidance to parents, grandparents, and others interested in assembling a high-quality library for their children at home.
